A special version of the project entitled Tear Mirror has been created for the Microwave New Media Arts Festival 2019 in Hong Kong. The stories and tear drops were collected by the festival curator in Hong Kong and by the artist in Japan and America for this exhibition. In this exhibition, sugar confectionery crystallising tears and tales of tears from various backgrounds were expressed through the voices of participants and the flickering lights linked to their voices, creating a single empathetic experience.
